Arakan Martial Art

Swords, Daggers and Walking Sticks 2017

I always look forward to the weapon seminars throughout the year especially the swords, daggers and walking sticks. It never ceases to amaze me how deep this art is. These seminars really give just a snapshot of the scope of Arakan, it's insanely technical without a weapon in hand let alone trying to use one. It was always a long term goal of mine to get to witness some of these techniques but now it's about the experience. the whole room has an entirely different energy to any other class when Rob is demonstrating with a really sharp dagger with the utmost mastery and precision stopping the blade literally millimetres from main arteries with so much speed and confidence, you can feel everyone in the rooms heart skip a beat.

It doesn't matter what weapon is in hand the level of focus and concentration needed to wield the weapon without injuring your training partner brings a whole other level of discipline and control. Which is why it's still such a privilege to get invited to this seminar everyone has to be graded and most people in the room have been training well over 5 years. Anyone lucky enough to attend would agree we are all so fortunate to get a glimpse of such high level arakan techniques we may never get to be truly taught in our private lesson. Definitely an experience I hope everyone who trains can have, for me this is for filling my childhood dream of wielding a sword and leaving me with the most amazing memories.

TESTIMONIALS

As a sole proprietor who works alone during the day, I felt it was time to take responsibility for my own safety and learn a new skill.

Arakan Martial Art looked like a fun way for me to start achieving my own fitness goals and has proved to be challenging, and very rewarding. A big thank you to the Arakan team for such an amazing experience so far

Martial Arts for over 40's

Martial arts’ is traditionally seen as something we enrol our children into whilst at school or we participated when we were younger. We all see the benefits of learning a martial art; improved fitness and health, balance, coordination, focus, discipline and agility, as well as learning self defence skills. However, more adults are beginning to see the benefits of training a martial art and beginning their journey as a mature aged student.

There is no age barrier to training Arakan Martial Art®. We have students as young as 3 years of age and as old as 83 learning Arakan Martial Art®.  READ MORE

Turning your health around with Arakan Martial Art

My journey started when I shared some medical results with my son. I had been diagnosed with cirrhosis of the Liver, ultimately if untreated it would lead to further health complications and diminished quality of life. I asked my doctor what was the cause, I was told it was related to me being over weight (Girth Size). I asked what treatment I needed. I was told "Just lose weight".
I spoke to my family about my condition and what the doctor said. My eldest son , who also does Arakan, said "I have just the thing for you". READ MORE
